Last Sunday Edinoverie Old Believers from various parishes of Moscow and the Moscow region, gathered on the feast day of the Myrrh-bearers and chanted Paschal stikhera at the grave of the nun Sevastiana (Lescheva) in accordance with the Old Believer tradition.
Schemanun Sevastiana (Lescheva) was one of the last old rite parishioners of Saint Nicholas Edinoverie church on Rogozhskoe (now new rite). She reposed in the Lord on the 5th of April 1970. Shortly after that the remnants of Edinoverie community moved to what is now Mikhailovskaya Sloboda, the biggest Edinoverie parish in the world.
